National Poetry Day 2007:

The Poetry Society kicked off the week of the 14th annual National Poetry Day with a stunning line-up of poets from four nations, who embarked on a capital city tour from London to Cardiff to Edinburgh to Belfast from 1-4 October.  Featuring Patience Agbabi, Robert Crawford, Gwyneth Lewis and Geairóid MacLochlainn.

The Poetry Society's Foyle Young Poets of the Year Awards were announced at an evening event celebrating the 10th anniversary of the prize with readings by actors and the founder of National Poetry Day, William Sieghart, at The Unicorn Theatre, London on National Poetry Day itself (Thursday 4 October).

The National Poetry Day poet-in-residence, Ian McMillan, kept an online blog for two weeks over National Poetry Day with handy tips, inspiring lines and dreamy anecdotes.
